What is biodiversity?
Biodiversity, also called biological diversity, is the variety of life found in a place on Earth or, often, the total variety of life on Earth. A common measure of this variety, called species richness, is the count of species in an area.

In this section of the School Biodiversity Alliance website you can find a database with materials for teachers to learn more about biodiversity and also to help them to be better prepared to teach their students about it.

How to use the materials?
We encourage teachers to integrate biodiversity
education in other STEM subjects in the school system, therefore some of the materials presented were thought to help on this integration.
